July 22, 2024 – Jefferson City, MO – Rachel’s Challenge, founded in memory of Rachel Scott, the first victim of the Columbine High School shooting, was highlighted during the Missouri Electric Cooperative CYCLE program. The organization shared its mission to promote kindness and prevent school violence by transforming school cultures. Rachel’s Challenge uses evidence-based programs to teach students about empathy, compassion, and the power of positive actions, which significantly reduces bullying, self-harm, and violence in schools.
