February 4, 2025 – EAU CLAIRE, WI–Delong Middle School recently hosted its first Rachel’s Challenge presentation, bringing students and families together around a powerful message: small acts of kindness can create lasting change. Inspired by the life of Rachel Scott, the program encouraged students to recognize their ability to positively impact others through everyday compassion.
Principal Michele Wiberg emphasized the importance of building a culture of kindness and emotional support, noting the event aligns with the school’s efforts to promote social-emotional health. Rachel’s Challenge CEO Kristi Krings shared, “Helping students feel safe and like they belong is just as important as academics — it’s the foundation of achievement.”
Students spent the day brainstorming how to create their own chain reaction of kindness, leaving with a renewed sense of purpose and the tools to make a real difference in their school community.
