May 1, 2024 – Danville, KY – The Ephraim McDowell Health Care Foundation granted $40,000 to support mental health and substance abuse programs in local middle and high schools. Rachel’s Challenge, which addresses school violence, bullying, and self-harm by promoting connection and resilience, was chosen as the programming for several of the area middle and high schools, aiming to improve school cultures and empower youth with the knowledge and tools for healthy choices and brighter futures.
