September 18, 2024 – TOMAH – Students and community members in Tomah were encouraged by the national nonprofit Rachel’s Challenge to embrace intentional acts of kindness. Through the presentation, a story about Rachel Scott, the first student killed at Columbine High School in 1999, they all were challenged to take action by spreading kindness to combat violence, isolation, and bullying, aligning with the program’s broader mission to improve school cultures and youth mental health. This event continues Rachel’s legacy of creating a “chain reaction” of kindness, with the hope that each small act can lead to broader cultural change, building a more connected and supportive community.
