25th Anniversary

It’s been 25 years since the Columbine High School Massacre. For 25 years, Rachel’s Challenge has been sharing the life and legacy of Rachel Joy Scott, the first victim of the Columbine massacre. And in that time, Rachel’s vision of starting a Chain Reaction of Kindness has connected millions of people and communities around the world.

We’re proud to know our programs have been directly responsible for a reduction in youth violence and school shootings, and we’re grateful to the communities that have invited us to be a part of their story.

But changing the world always begins with a single person. While Rachel’s life may have been cut short, her death is superseded by all the people who started their own Chain Reactions – and in doing so, have become the change that we all want to see.

It is the individual stories that resonate most deeply with us. This year, we want to celebrate these personal stories – your stories – as we write the next chapter in the Chain Reaction of Kindness.
