25th Anniversary

As we approach the 25th anniversary of the Columbine shootings, it’s sometimes hard not to focus on how far we still have to go. Every year, more school shootings and stories of youth violence and suicide make news headlines, and every year, we continue forward, reconnecting at-risk youth with their peers and teaching them the weight their actions and words have on the world around them.

In that spirit, we choose this year not to focus on the tragedy of Columbine and the work still ahead of us, but on the changes we’ve witnessed since then and the power of kindness. We want to highlight and celebrate the everyday heroes in our communities, the ones making the world a brighter place through their actions and deeds.
